I've just bought a Hero 5 black but can't seem to get a good video image whilst filming indoors.
I have also tried filming with lighting from a LED camera light but that hasn't made much difference as no matter what I try the image comes out quite grainy.
I've tried filming outdoors and have found that footage a lot better but need to workout how to get good quality indoor footage to use on YouTube instructional videos.
I actually get better quality using my mid range smartphone.
The settings I've been using are: 2.7k 30 fps, Protune on: ISO 400, Low sharpness, WB on Auto
Any suggestions would be most appreciated

We'd like to ask for sample shots or video sample.
Also We'd like to know if you're shooting on a studio type settings or outdoor?
How's the lighting setup?
Or are you using the camera with just natural light?
Also if you can provide the SD card brand and model please let us know.

Ive attached the same footage using my phone and the Gopro at 1080p as cant go higher than that on my phone, the quality on the phone seems a lot better. It has been filmed using natural lighting. I am new to photogarpy so only have a Neewer 176 light at the moment.
The SD card is a Sandisk Ultra Class 10 - 128GB

I love Xiaomi action cams and their phone camera’s, they are a real competitor to the GoPro.
As for your video, it could be the sad card but almost seems like poor lighting to me. Unfortunately we gotta deal with a few Flaws, no gopro is perfect lol.
