I have already read those steps, but it is none of the problem mentioned there, and the troubleshooting steps are not useful, as I've alrady done everything said there like 15 times. I also resetted the gopro to stock and reupdated its firmware to the latest one.
When I connect my gopro to my brother's pc, it detect it as a gopro and it let me transfer the files. When I connect it to my pc, it will come up with the StilImage driver issue. If i only insert the microsd card, Quik open by itself, but nothing else. I can transfer files in this way, but I want my pc to recognize the gopro and be able to choose if i want to transfer files with the gopro connected or to remove the microsd card.

Thank you for the update, @djlelex. If the camera is detected on a different computer, and the SD card is recognized by your computer's SD card slot, the issue may be driver-related. If they aren't already, see if updating your drivers will help clear the issue.

As I've previously said, it's a driver related issue. The problem is how to make the computer recognizing correctly the gopro, because ethere no installable driver for any gopro device. How can I update a driver if it isn't even installed?

Depending on your computer's OS, please go over the steps on this link:
For Windows computers, you can also try to access Device Manager> Find GoPro> Select "Disable" then "Enable".
For Mac, updating to the latest software often resolves this issue.
Let us know how it goes.

Hi @aragon1006, I've already done the steps opn the link for windows, but it didn't worked.
Also your tip: "For Windows computers, you can also try to access Device Manager> Find GoPro> Select "Disable" then "Enable". " didn't work because in device manager there isn't GoPro, but StillImage under other devices. Even if I uninstall that StillImage driver, when I replug in my gopro it reinstalls automatically.
I'm kinda desperate, as everything I've done didn't work :(
