Hi, I bought this https://shop.gopro.com/EMEA/accessories-2/pro-3.5mm-mic-adapter/AAMIC-001.html and couldn't record any audio my own mic.
My external mic is Sony ECMCS3 and i tried it with couple of other devices such as my computer and it worked fine.
I also contacted GoPro in order to replace my Pro 3.5mm mic adapter for my Hero 5 Session and when i got the new one it still didn't work.
Even if i start video and then unplug the mic and then plug it again it still not recording.
I am using "Mic" in the setting and not "Line In"(even though i tried it and it still didn't worked).
Of course when not using the mic adapter the camera record sound just fine.
What do you think is the solution for the problem?

I suspect the list of approved microphones has NOT been updated for the new USB C mic adapter:
I say this because the page above states:
"Where does it apply?
The new USB C to 3.5mm adapter is ONLY for Hero 5 Black and Hero 5 Session.
You are the 2nd poster in 2 days to report issues with this mic and specific adapter/camera combo.
Call customer support to confirm, or try a different mic in the adapter to rule out the adapter.

But i have this list:
which according to it it does apply to Hero 5 Session.
Am I wrong?

The link I sent you was directly from the USB C to 3.5mm mic adapter...
All I can suggest is that you are the 2nd person in the last 2 days to report issues with this mic/adapter combo.
Which is why I suggested "Call customer support to confirm, or try a different mic in the adapter to rule out the adapter."
