After a year of occasionally usage of my working GoPro Hero 5 is the Display on the back now just blank. I have already tried to update the firmware with Quik Desktop and manually. Both didn't work. I even changed the microSD to a SanDisk but this didn't work too. The little LCD-Display on the front which shows these little camera symbols is working fine and the camera can take pictures and load them to my computer. The next stupid part is that I can't connect to my iPhone via the Quik App because the Wifi-Password is shown on the display of my GoPro, so getting to the preferences of the GoPro seems quite impossible.
I would be very happy if someone could help me!
PS.: I'm from Germany so my Englisch grammar isn't the best!

ı think, ı have the same problem on my hero5 black,
the display screen is not responding, ı can take a picture or video but i can't connect the my phone and ı can't see the display.
I tried manual update today but problem is still. I need a help :(

I also have the same problem. Bought the Hero5 Black back in October. It was working great up until about 2 weeks ago. Now when I turn the camera on, the LCD screen is blank. I have tried updating the camera via the application and manually downloading. Nothing is resolving the issue. The camera is still recording video and pictures, but I cannot view the LCD to change any settings.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
