My GoPro Hero 5 Black (lightly used for 13 months in perfect condition) all of a sudden will not charge or start up. No sign of life whatsoever. I have tried all reset processes (removing SD card and battery, holding mode button, inserted brand new battery, etc). No luck. When connected to a laptop via USB, it does indicate a USB device named "AS9" connected. Any ideas or advice? Contacted GoPro Chat, but was infomed that GoPro cannot fix its own unit, will not replace the camera as it is 3 months out of its warranty, but will give me 20% discount on a new camera if I return my disfunctional unit. Very convenient for GoPro.
