GoPro Hero 4 Black not displaying wifi pin.

I have had my Hero 4 for a few years, so I no longer am eligible for any sort of warranty on it. I am unable to pair my camera with the app or any remotes due to the fact that it is not displaying a PIN number to connect to the app. Not only that, but when i turn my wifi on and the settings say it is on, the blue led doesn't flash and it is not detectable by my phone. I have tried everything the other forums said to do, including updating, resetting the wifi, resetting by taking out the battery, etc. I deleted all information my phone would have on the camera and still no avail. I feel that it is purely faulty hardware, and I most likely need a new camera, but I am not willing to buy another one since the fact that this one isn't working is not in any way my fault. Like I stated earlier, I no longer have any warranty, so I'm not sure I can exchange the camera for a new or even refurbished one. Hoping you guys at GoPro are understanding of my predicament, as I have not seen anyone with this problem that doesn't have a warranty.

Were you able to complete a manual software update? After resetting the WiFi settings, is the Wi-Fi name of the camera being picked up by your phone at least? If it does, the blue light on the camera may just be busted. Proceed with the connection troubleshooting steps here.
However, if the phone does not pick it up at all then it's possible that the wireless part of the camera is faulty.
I understand that this camera is no longer in warranty but you may contact our Support Team to see what they can do to extend our help.
