The v1.6 update did not resolve the poor performance of my GoPro HERO 6 ... I still get weird white balance issues in low light, the color blue looks weird, traffic lights don't look green, but rather aqua blue... the noise is horrible and the footage is just straight up unusable.
I previously owned a Hero 3 Black ... which was ages ago and it performed better in low light than the Hero 6!
I paid 600EUR for this camera and it DOES NOT perform accordingly!
Here is a screenshot from some car footage...
My question is... is this going to be resolved?
What is the future of the GoPro HERO 6? Is this going to be a ripoff and is GoPro just going to move on to the Hero 7 and leave this unresolved?
There 1.6 update did NOT deliver what was expected... Will we see a 1.7?
P.S. - I have a 4$ keychain camera that makes the same quality videos as show above...

in low light limit the ISO at 800 (or 400)
try WB Native if auto gives you strange colours (due to street lights differents sources) or try a warmer colour
and when you consider capturing frame taken from a 24fps footage, with moving objects, consider that will be blurred.... 1/24 do not freeze the movement...
you need a much higher shutter to "freeze" the movement....

Just for the record... im not a grandpa who decided to buy a GoPro... and now rants because he doesn't know how to use a camera :D
I don't want to freeze objects... I want the motion blur, thats not related to the noise. I know how cameras work...
WB Native ... Nothing beats setting the correct white balance to begin with ...(except shooting raw photos, you can do it later).
In the image above you can clearly see that there is a issue with the blue channel and that its weirding out.
Regarding your video, yes its very nice, it seems that the streets are very well lit... but the orange color cast is something that is not acceptable to me. Shooting wrong white balance, just because the software on this 600EUR camera is broken is something that I don't see as acceptable in any way!
I'd like to see the behind the scenes of capturing THIS shot from the GoPro HERO6 promo video as it sold me on this camera...
*I don't believe that this is a geniunie GoPro HERO6 shot... or it has been intentionally post processed to make it appear that it was way darker than it actually was when filmed.

Well, well, you might be getting aqua-blue green traffic lights, but I dare you to get blue snow:
