GoPro H8 2.7k 60fps Hypersmooth High = very bad video quality

I'm getting terrible video quality specifically using these settings

2.7k 60fps + Hypersmooth High - even under bright daylight outdoors. Boost is even worse.

Quality is perfectly fine when using:

2.7k60 with Hypersmooth "on" and "off"

All 2.7k30 with any Hypersmooth settings is fine

All 4k any fps settings + all Hypersmooth settings are fine

Here's am album showing the quality differences.

You will need to click each picture to see full size photo.

Is the quality of 2.7k 60fps + Hypersmooth High supposed to be bad?

I also find it interesting that I can't using Hypersmooth High settings in 2.7k30 or 4k60 but I can use it in 2.7k60 and 4k30, why?
