GoPro Fusion and Oculus

Hello, I'm looking for instructions on how to render a video in GoPro Fusion Studio so it is suitable to load and play on an Oculus Go VR headset.  When I render it from the studio for "editing" it is a ".mov" file which won't show up on my Oculus.  Oculus supports mp4, m4v, 3gp, 3g2, webm, mkv, wmv, and avi files, but when I go to render my GoPro 360 video it doesn't give me an option to choose the file format.

Re: GoPro Fusion and Oculus

Thank you for the additional information. Upon further check, it seems that the rendered 360 video from Fusion Studio is automatically imported as a .mov file. You might want to explore third-party editing software such as DaVinci Resolve to convert the .mov file to .mp4 . I hope this helps.

Re: GoPro Fusion and Oculus

Hello @anneliseg2060

Which version of Fusion Studio are you using? Have you already installed the latest version 1.3? Also, which computer operating system are you using. The render format in Fusion Studio will depend on the computer OS. For a Mac, the render output is MPEG-4. If possible, try doing the process on a different computer (Windows) and see if you can get an MP4 format after.

Let us know how it works out.

Best regards,
Marius

Re: GoPro Fusion and Oculus

I'm still researching and haven't found an easy way to keep the 5.2K. BUT - you can convert .mp4 using products like Wondershare (free) or Adobe Encoder (paid). Adobe Premiere is wonderful - but a BIG learning curve because it can do just about everything if you have never used it.

Re: GoPro Fusion and Oculus

Did you ever find a way to keep the 5.2K format to make the video a bit sharper on the Oculus Go?
