I recently purchased a Hero 7 Black, foolishly forgetting to think about whether my computer can handle files from this device. I just received the GoPro and therefore have not used it yet. I have a Dell Inspiron 3847 purchased in 2014. I was told by support that it meets all the minimum requirements except dedicated memory, which falls far short at 112MB in terms of using GoPro software to view/edit video files. I was advised to either upgrade or not shoot in modes using HEVC.
Is there anyone out there who has insight into this? Is it realistic to think I will be able to work with these types of files by simply upgrading my graphics card with a computer I purchased in 2014? I am really not sure at this point if having a computer this old will hamstring me with this device, and whether, in light of that, it is worth keeping.
Any insight and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If your computer can still support 1080 you can still use that.
Most of the time you won't really need 4k or HEVC files.
1080 to 2.7k is still looking good.
Also yes. Upgrading Graphics Card can help but you have to make sure that your mother board and operating system will match or compatible to the graphics card.
