GoPro Black 5 Plastic Crashed

Hi experts! I ‘m in Los Angeles, and a stone hit the display of my camera, breaking it. Where can i take it to make it repair by a professional?

Thanks a lot!
Juan

Re: GoPro Black 5 Plastic Crashed

GoPro doesn't do repairs. If you have GoPro Plus you can get up to two replacement cameras per year for accidental damage.

Your first step should be to contact the GoPro Support Team.

If they can't help you, the guys at ifixit might be able to. They are located a couple hours north of you in San Luis Obispo https://help.ifixit.com/category/133-contact-ifixit

Re: GoPro Black 5 Plastic Crashed

GoPro has  a Place in L.A.  Riverside is it, it is not a walk in it is the  returns center.  Their office is near San Fran. you can call and talk to them  see if they will help you out on a repair.  take a photo of what cracked so  the least we can say that  can be replaced without sendidng in... Otherwise  your return will get a refurbshed camera not the same one you got?  Like Dan said the care pkg gets you a free one.

Re: GoPro Black 5 Plastic Crashed

GoPro Plus does not entitle you to a free replacement, there is a service fee, but it is cheaper than buying a new one and what most service centers would charge for repair. Opening the camera for any repair will compromise the waterproofing of the camera.  Calling or chatting with GoPro with the link provided is the way to get in touch with Support.  If it's determined that your camera falls within the warranty, you will receive a new camera but it wont be in the merchandising box.

Re: GoPro Black 5 Plastic Crashed

Thanks you all very much! I called and they said that if the camera would still be on warranty they would have changed it, but my camera is out of date. They also asked for the ticket.
Thanks again!
