GoPro 8 cycling On & Off or completely freezing [ New ]

I have an 8 month old Hero 8.

This morning it started freezing. I did a factory reset & have updated it twice.

New SD card as well.

As I am typing it was on, now it has frozen with the image on the screen still up.

The last video I record, the red indicator light on the back was blink very rapidly. I had to pull the battery out for it too stop. It was on night lapse so it recorded everything up until I picked up the camera.

I also notices the battery is also overheating

The camera is only used for time lapse so it hasnt been used for any recreation activities.

Any ideas?
