The HERO7 Black has a Pericom PI3USB9281 chip which is new for GoPro cameras. This chip protects against bad chargers, detecting power, and usb pin muxing. If it detects surges or drops in power it will turn the camera off to protect the device.
The HERO7 Black supports fast charging with the GoPro Supercharger so I assume it is USB 3.0, but I haven't verified this.

USB type A to Tyoe C Blue connection one the type A, any type of After market will work fine the supplied one is thicker but all others are ideal if asked I HAVE A TEN FOORTER IT WORKS. I used quite a few with no issues at al. side. the battery you never told us if it is a powerbank. the supplied voltage of the Hero 4 differs from the hero 7 by a point or two and a littler higher cap. Hero 4 internal batteries are different so newer one's are needed. good luck
