GoPro 7 Black won't switch on

Suffering from a major software bug, which makes the camera pretty much useless: If left alone for some extended period of time (f.e. overnight), my GoPro 7 Black won't turn on pressing Mode or Shutter buttons. If Mode button is pressed for like 10 seconds, the camera switches on but shows a black screen with no way to record or operate. Another long Mode button press restarts camera and it works ok till it's switched off. Then black screen on start again... frustrating af. >:(

Firmware 1.51 - manually installed, different cards tried (main Samsung EVO+ 128GB) - nothing helps.

Factory reset brings the camera to an ok operating state until it's left alone for several hours. Then I'm back to square 1. 

Any solutions besides shelving it till a new firmware is released?

I am sorry that you are having issues with your camera. Since you mentioned that you troubleshoot the issue already and the camera is still not working properly; I would suggest to contact the Customer Support hotline either via phone or chat:

https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs

They should be able to help you further. They should be able to process a warranty replacement for a defective camera. Please be ready with the copy of your receipt along with the serial number of the camera.

If you exhausted your options   shelf it.

 

 while in the mean time call gopro the worst thing they can do is  exchange your Defect
