GoPro 6 black can't "see" my batteries

Hello,

I bought one new GoPro 6 Black and a few more additional batteries, including the double charger.
When in the charger, I see the orange leds when the batteries are loading, but when I put the battery inside the
GoPro, with just 1 over 6 battery the red light "blink" and then I can start the GoPro.
It seems the GoPro can't recognize 5 batteries over 6.

How is that possible? I checked the batteries and they are ALL the same.

Thank you
Chris

Re: GoPro 6 black can't "see" my batteries

hello and thank you for your reply.

I finally found out the reason. I used a GoPro 5 double charger but connected to the wall through an USB-C cable to the GoPro 3 wall charger, who is giving just 1A of power.

So, the leds on the double charger were always orange, then they disappeared after hours.
I thought that switch off of the leds means the batteries were loaded, but I was wrong.

So, I instead tried to connect this double charger to the iPad wall charger, who sends out 5.1V and 2.1A and, after much less time, the leds on the double charger switched from orange to green!

I then tried the batteries inside the GoPro, and a few of them, even if the green led was on the charger, stopped to load at around 97 or 99%.
I could anyway "end" to charge them with keeping them inside the GoPro itself, reaching the 100%.

This "stuck" on 97 or 99% through the charger doesn't happen to all the batteries, but just a few.
Some of them can reach the 100& already inside the double charger.

So, it seems like the 1A wall charger is not enough to charge the batteries through the USB-C cable.

Hope this helps other persons too.
C.

and I see that in the working battery, if I try to load it inside the cam, it's stuck at the 1%

@swiftrange8168 - The batteries for the HERO5 and the HERO6 are the same. If the batteries are not accepting a charge, please connect with our Support team at https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs and we'll see if we can figure out what's going on with them.
