Hi, My GoPro (2018) wont turn on. The camera froze with a green screen. I held down the power button for 10 seconds to re-set it. The camera turned off and then wont turn back on. The battery had 60% charge when it froze. I have tried holding down the power button again for at least 10 seconds without any effect. I have also plugged the camera in to mains power in case somehow the battery became flat however no lights come on whatsoever. I also removed the battery and again connected the camera to mains power (having read this suggestion on a support hub thread) - still no lights come on. The camera has had very little use from new and has never been dropped etc.
Can you help me please - I m going away in a couple of weeks and really need this sorted before I go.

Thanks for the information shared.
Have you tried testing a different cable? Plug the camera(without the battery) directly to a power source. See if this will get your camera to turn back on.
For reference: HERO Will Not Power On

Firstly thankyou for taking the time to reply. As it turns out I ended up speaking with the support team and the team member has authorised a replacement unit for me.
I have sent off the faulty unit and now have my fingers crossed the new one arrives before I leave on my trip.
Very appreciative of the Support Team’s management of the problem.

Don't listen to GoPro staff.
Fact is, the camera is defunct, same with me and many others, read below topics. Go to the store, return it, wait for GoPro finally doing a propper firmware update, or wait for the next GoPro. Use it the least possible or store will look for any excuse not to take it in, as taking it out of the protective case and sliding it back in causes slight marks, already an excuse for stores wanting not to accept it.
I had the same. Not able to turn on, then it did turn on at times, problems turning it off, complete battery drains, did what GoPro staff said, all in vain. The device is defunct, nothing more and nothing less.
