Go pro won't connect to app

Just bought the **bleep** thing and it won't connect to my phone, It recognises the device and asks for the password then it always times out and fails to connect?

Sorry to hear about the trouble. See if the steps below will help resolve the issue:

  • Delete the Bluetooth ID from your device settings
  • Remove the camera from the menu in the GoPro App 
  • Forget the Wi-Fi on your mobile device 
  • Reset the Wi-Fi on our camera

  • Delete the Bluetooth ID from your device settings
  • Remove the camera from the menu in the GoPro App 
  • Forget the Wi-Fi on your mobile device

I did that and it keeps sending me a message from the app saying I guess I need to ha e pairing on. I followed the instructions. Who can I call?

Hi,

 

I have a Go Pro hero 6 and it won't connect to my Mac Book, I have done all of the above and it still won't work. I have tried the reset the USB on my mac aswell, forget network with wifi and all that. Sounds stupid but I think my cable is faulty, I am going to try with another cable but that is all I have left. I have spent hours on this and I have a project I need to work on.

If you are using a Macbook, you must be accessing your GoPro camera through the Quik for desktop app. This thread is for the GoPro app for mobile. Have you already installed the GoPro Quik for desktop on your computer? If you have and the issue remains, try the steps discussed through the articles below: 

Alternatively, you can also move files to your computer by using an SD card adapter. Lett us know how it goes.

Hi sorry about that, I couldnt find the right thread.

Yes I have installed the app...I have followed both of these pages and still no luck. Yeah but I really just want my Go Pro to connect like it should instead of having to buy things and work around the fact it wont work :/
