Mine does it as well, and yes my voice command is off. It also constantly turns my wifi on my phone on and connects. This thing is an overpriced piece of trash and I regret buying it.
Hello @tonyh5969. If you have already done a manual update on the camera firmware, and tried a setup with the Wake On voice, and Wi-Fi disabled and the issue persists, the next step would be to engage our Support team. They can be reached by phone or chat through https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs .
I have the same issue purchased just over a week ago and has turned on by itself multiple times. Have tried factory reset, re-installing firmware etc, have now resorted to removing the battery. On sunday I was heading out kayaking and took the gopro, when I arrived at the destination after a 45 min drive guess what? the camera was red hot and the battery dead! I had charged it fully and made sure the camera was off prior to leaving. I was therefore unable to use this camera that cost almost £400!
