The manual update requires that I insert the micro SD card into my PC.  I have no way to do that currently. I will have to purchase a card reader before I can give it a try.

@aenriquez  I applied the update manually and it appears to have worked.  The camera no longer turns on by itself with WIFI enabled.  Thanks for all your help.

I also noticed that mine must have automatically turned on this morning. Battery was at 80% last night. This morning 8%. Voice command and wireless were not active and camera not activated.
