I'm really hoping someone can help fairly quickly, I go away skiing tomorrow and could do with the issue fixed today!!
I bought a new go pro hero 8 black and have just set it up. At first it was fine, but I've just tried again to connect it to my laptop and it won't work anymore. First time, the USB connection symbol appeared on the front screen but now it doesn't, the camera is just switched on as normal. The laptop makes the noise as if a USB has connected, and it starts charging the camera, but it doesn't show as properly connected (ie there's no drive to open). I'm using the offical cable, it's the only one I've got. Why did it work and now it doesn't and how can I fix this? I've tried my laptop and desktop computer.

Please make sure that your camera is turned on before connecting it to your computer.
Please check if it will work using other USB C cable.
