I have updated the firmware of the go pro v2.60 but it does not show the name and serial number on the camera when you access the option ABOUT THIS GO PRO. I need your help.

Hello @supersurf36372

That is odd. How did you update the firmware? If it was not done manually, try doing it even if the camera already has the latest firmware. This is to ensure that any possible error associated with the current installation will be cleared out. You can find instructions below:

  1. Go to the HERO5 Black update page.
  2. Under "Other ways to update" at the base of the page, click "Update your camera manually."
  3. Enter your Serial Number and other requested information, click Next Step.
  4. Click "Download Update."
  5. Click "Click here to download firmware."
  6. Follow the steps on the screen for detailed instructions for your operating system.

Make sure that the camera is fully charged and that the SD card is formatted prior to the update process. The serial number information needed on the update page can be found inside the battery compartment. You will be looking for a number staring with C316132....

Let us know how it works out.

Thanks,
Marius
