Go Pro Black 7 Crashing

This weekend has been the first opportunity I've had to use my GoPro 7 Black.
It has been updated to version 01.61
On two occasions it has frozen after recording a clip of approximately 5 minutes in length.
It becomes unresponsive to either the record or power/mode button.
After holding down both buttons for about 10 seconds it seems to reboot and is then ok.
This is very frustrating as the intention was to use it as a head camera with a remote, and having to reboot in that way renders it useless when being used in more extreme conditions.
Please let me know if there is any other information, or whether there is an additional update available.
In case the SD card version is relevant it is a SanDisk Extreme 64GB U1 A2 V30 XC1
Look forward to your recommendations.
Regards
William

Hi @williamc60478,
Yes it will make a difference since manual firmware update is like flashing the old firmware of your camera and install a fresh or new version instead of overriding.
In case the SD card is faulty.
You can still get a SanDisk SD card as long as it's on the recommended List https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considerations

Hi @spirydusk08704,
Please try to install new firmware update manually by following the manual update steps here: https://gopro.com/help/articles/how_to/software-update-instructions-for-hero7-cameras
If issue persist you might need to change the SD card since it might be defective.
The camera relies on the SD card's performance.

-Jay

If the SanDisk SD card is potentially at fault can you suggest an alternative recommended card?
