Have just received a go pro 5 and notice lots of noise from the audio, its sounds like its really sensitive picking up lots of wind noise (indoors!!) and lots of rustling sounds even when i`m trying to be very gentle with it. It seems much worse when the frame is in place, without its not too bad but shaking the camera causes noise.
Any ideas? Is it faulty?

Welcome to the World of Gopro. in time you'll get used to it. using any monopole the sound and its movement is aplified. keeping the door off does not help. it is something gopro never fixed or will ever. the mics are behind rubber and guess they turned up thedb. should have at least offered a gain control .. try to turn off auto sound and try wind only

Thanks, yes looking into it more it seems a design issue. The frame does seem to be the culprit for alot of the audio problems, one report said its blocking the mic in places, which sounds a brilliant design flaw. I guess i know realise why alot of go pro videos have sound tracks dubbed over the top.

And the Killer is no one cares. especially care it is a flaw yes, and passed along to the Hero 6 as well. the top mic is COVERED. the two sides also could have been a tad wider in diameter, but do take off your frame and simply place on the table and record and gently slide it you'll see It's the CAMERA
