Hi, i have recently purchased a hero 6. I have noticed that the gps loses signal/lock and intermittently connects and then loses signal again when using external battery banks. I have tried multiple external battery banks and also the extended side battery and all seem to cause the same issue. I have only done a handful of tests but it seems whenever i use the device without an external power source, the gps works flawlessly. I have the latest firmware and it happens in any resolution and frame rate and I have only ever used the camera on the latest firmware.
Also, (not important) but i have noticed that when i disconnect the external power source and connect it again....It causes the camera to restart and starts to repair the file.
Could these issues be caused by firmware? or is it a hardware flaw?
Anyone else have this issue?
I was hoping on using this gps feature to capture a motorycle memorial motorcycle charity ride which lasts around 4- 5 hours. so a battery bank is needed. Being on a motorcycle keeps the camera cool and i have had no issues with over heating whilst filming so far.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

"This is usually indicative of an issue with the SD card."
No issue with SD card... As i say, that bit isn't importent (it's only when you disconnect the external battery and connect it again when recording.

"Have you tried without hte gopro battery, just hte external battery and in mode on?"
I haven't mate, i was hoping to keep the battery in as a buffer shoukd the external power cut out. I will give it a go on my next days off to test though. Not sure as to why that's make any difference....since the gps works fine when not running off external power.
Thanks for the suggestion and i'll give it a try.
