GPS lock on Hero 7 Black but gauges no working [ New ]

Any recommendations on how to get the Quik app or Quick for Mac to see the GPS data? They both report no GPS data recorded despite the GPS being on for the Hero 8 Black and the location icon on when filming.

gopro  camera needs way more time today to get gps to work. and a real software, maybe like Race render
