Re: GPS issue

Hi @serika3

To find a good signal, make sure you’re outside and away from tall structures. Hold or mount your camera so the top is facing up. In some cases it may take up to a minute to get a signal.

What is the brand and specification of the SD card?

Thanks!

Ej

Hi @serika3

Have you tried recording on a different location? What SD card are you using?

Kindly check the current software version of your camera.  Preferences> About this GoPro

Thanks,

Ej

Re: GPS issue

version 02.01

the sd-card came with a camera

I tried in two places with a distance of 300 meters (outdoor)

Maybe I need to wait a certain time after white gps label?

Re: GPS issue

hi all,

there are some reports in this forum about the accuracy of the GPS.

in open spaces, on the hills.

till now I did not bother too much, as I had Win8, and the gauges on hero6 videos didn't work on GoPro Quick.

after Win10, I see the gauges, and some could make me KOM, or speed champion.

when I push my bicycle and I do have the speed of a JumboJet after takeoff, I started to wonder what speed I could have when descending...

and the path by no means is like that...

v.02.01, SanDisk Extreme 128GB v30 ...

@aragon1006 - taken into account the reports, and the fact with Hero5 I never had this issue, maybe it is worth to escalate in R&D dep.

thank you,

robert

Re: GPS issue

Hello @serika3

Thank you for providing the details. I gather you already have the latest version of Quik for desktop on your computer, and the SD cards that you are using are recommended ones. We will bring this matter to the team to check further. We will post updates once available. A question though, did you observe the same thing with other recordings with GPS on?

Best regards,

Marius
