Got this brand new as an early Christmas gift. Charged it fully. Used it for the first time to record clips through the day (live in Canada but currently in Mexico). Got back to hotel to charge it and now the red light (indicative of charging) simply won't illuminate (the red light still flashes when I turn on/turn off the device so I know the light itself still functions).
I'd hoped that it was charging nevertheless but it isn't and I'm loosing battery by the second. I noticed a new update allowing 1080p recording got released.
I've updated the device - still not charging.
Did a full SD reformat on device - still not charging.
Did a full factory reset on device - still not charging.
Plugged to power through laptop and/or adapter - still not charging.
Tried with laptop plugged to power - still not charging.
I really hope this doesnt ruin my vacation and maybe I'm just doing something wrong??? I mean I did charge it the night before so I must know what I'm doing... or is there some special way to charge GoPros??
This GoPro is literally BRAND NEW and I cant understand how I'm already having to deal with this...
Anyone please help! Gracias!

Back up camera a must. try every possible scenerio to charge. and try a wall charger port rated over 1.2A. a reset is a 30 second long press. sorry but new stuff needs learning and headaches we donot want when where? on vacation Call gopro or chat with them. good luck.
