I connect my Camera to the PC (Windows 10, using the USB cable in GoPro package.
I get the screen "USB connected" on the GoPro.
The PC reads the Hero5 and opens the folder but it says "This folder is empty".
I downloaded the Quick App which says No files to import and the GoPro Studio and both cannot import.
I tried everything !

I faced the same problem for my GP5HB. Though my problem was only limited to burst mode photos, which weren't visible on my card when I used to connect it to my laptop.
I use Sandisk Extreme 32gb card.
I tried plugging out the GP and switched it off and and on, and plugged it back - and the photos appeared on the laptop! Not sure why it is behaving so, but atleast I could get them.

If you're trying to import directly from the camera without using Quik for Desktop, you will likely have some issues. If you're using Quik, please make sure to turn the camera on once the cables are connected. Turning the camera on will start the sync process.
Also, you can import directly from the SD card using an SD card adapter.

Thanks for your reply. I as using Quik for Windows (Windows 10 incidentally in case there are known issues?) to import. I get the "No files to import" message. In Windows Explorer I get the "This folder is empty".
On a Windows 7 machine I could see the files in Windows explorer (this i did whilst on holiday so i will retest this tomorrow if possible).
I ended up taking the SD card out and connecting directly into the PC. This time both Quik and Windows Explorer could see the files. So that kind of narrows down the problem to the camera? Now that I have the files off the card I may do a reset on the camera and see if that kicks something into life.
