Hi, my gopro screen remains black although i am able to see menu options. The screen freezes and does not allow me to swipe down into preferences. I did try to pair with the gopro app and see if i could record using my phone screen, but still all is black and not able to record anything. I have alredy tried the update, but it doesnt seem to work. Is this a lost cause? are there no repairs for this? thanks for any help.

Please try re-flashing the software one more time. https://gopro.com/en/us/update
This corrects any errors that may have been encountered with the previous installation.
Once done, reset the camera to its factory settings. https://community.gopro.com/t5/en/Reset-Camera-Settings/ta-p/388279
