Fusion misaligned lenses / bad stitching might be the Android app problem

This is not a problem reporting, but rather describing a solution.

I found that GoPro apps on different devices are downloading footage from Fusion in different ways. I was using iPad to download images/videos all the way along, but then I switched to Android. And then it turned out that stitching on Android is bad. Btw I didn't realise immediately that the Android version was a culprit, and for a while I thought that the lens became misaligned - fortunately, the camera turned out to be fine!

So if you are using GoPro for Android app, and finding that stitching sucks, don't blame the camera - try either computer or iPad.

Here are the sample. It's exactly same source image on the camera, but downloard three different ways. The difference is clear.

Hope it helps.

Re: Fusion misaligned lenses / bad stitching might be the Android app problem

Yup, the app on your android is like a "lite" verison when it comes to stitching video.  For the best results, if I want the best quality, I'll render only in Fusion Studio.  Excellent job on posting the screen comparrisons!
