Looks like the Fusion is end of life, replaced by the Max. But will that also mean the fusion wont get any updates, and what about the key framing option showed on the gopro app with Max will this be available for the Fusion??
Sadly this product is i think end of life, hopefully a trade up is gonna be available.

I've asked about the keyframing option, but I'm guessing it may only work with the Max due to the fact it does it's stitching in camera, whereas the Fusion seems to only do 30 second segments at a time, but one can always hope.
There is still the V2.0 firmware for the Fusion which is pretty good and if you can stand the rendering times (I leave mine to render overnight if it's a large project) the Fusion is still a pretty capable camera. I'll be keeping at least one Fusion and maybe upgrade the other to a Max depending on reviews.

That's why I'm hoping key framing would be available on the Fusion.

I'm guessing they will have to update the desktop Quik app to support the keyframes for the Max footage. Since the resolution will be similar to the V2 firmware of the Fusion, it may be possible to use the updated Quik app to work with keyframes in the footage. Of course it would still need to be stitched and exported as a 360 video using Fusion Studio first.
Still hard to know until the reviews come out and an exact workflow is known.

I have to laugh a little at the "will that also mean the fusion wont get any updates?". What updates? The V2 firmware is STILL in beta, the desktop app has had no improvements in ages and you still need to jump through hoops to even use the camera on the majority of android phones. How could the support be any worse? I think GoPro do a solid job with their main line of cameras, but support for the Fusion has been terrible. No way I would invest in the Max, and I will be recommending others to steer clear as well.

The V2 firmware is a joke it was released in januari, 9 month ago and the Fusion beta isn't that good. And indeed the desktop app hadn't got any improvementd in ages.
I do love my Hero camera's and in general the Fusion, but app so i can edit footage from the Fusion is dreadfull. Gonna see what the fusion studio app will do the next months, if this is all no Max for me. Then gonna look at the Insta360.

Didn't occur to anyone that the reason we haven't seen a further update with the Fusion Studio desktop software is because they are working to create software that will support the Fusion and Max? And that the release won't be out until the Max is released? (otherwise they would give the game away before the Max is released as to what the software and camera can do). We already know that the app is going to be able to use keyframes with 360 degree footage, this has been confirmed to work with Fusion Footage too. People will still want to edit their 360 footage on their desktop, so I would expect to see a software update when the Max rolls out.

Utilizo e gosto demais das cameras Hero, mais o suporte que estão dando a Fusion e muito triste, não consigo utilizar ela com nenhum celular android. Estou orientando todos quanto a comprar Fusion/Max, Pois suporte á cameras 360 Graus é vergonhoso .
