Fusion and LG V30 problem after update

Hello,
I have recently updated my LG V30 to the newest android version and the Gopro App to the newest version.
Unfortunately, I can now see on my smartphone image from only one camera (the "FRNT" one). It happens in video and in photo mode, in preview mode and in playback mode (on the phone also). I have noticed that the small thumbnails from playback mode are complete and show the "BACK" camera.
On the computer I find both images from both cameras, so the cameras are ok.

I think that the new updates are to blame.
Can somebody from Gopro reply? Thanks in advance! I am very sorry to not see the preview correctly, I have changed my phone 3 months ago and it worked fine before this update.

Just FYI, this is a member to member support community, not the GoPro Support Team. Your issue is pretty specific, so it may take awhile to get some responses from people who have both the Fusion and LG v30.

I happen to have both but I'm out without my Fusion, so I can't test this just yet. I did have issues with the app and camera initially after the update (mainly with saving trimmed clips and screen grabs), however I uninstalled (completely removed) the app, restarted my phone and then installed the app again. After doing that, it seemed to work fine. I can't remember for certain if I checked the live view through the app, but I think I did and everything was fine.

Try a fresh install. Also factory reset the Fusion and then create a brand new pairing. Hopefully that helps.

I also found issues with the new updated GoPro App (release in Jan 2019) and saving clips and video from my Fusion.  After uninstalling and re-installing the issue remained.

 

I had to install a previous version of the GoPro app to get things working again.  One of the GoPro staff was able to replicate the issue and informed technical staff so there may be a fix for that in the works.

 

There was mention of GoPro combining their app and Quik into one program, I know they are looking for Beta testers for the new version of Quik, so the next update (if it isn't just a bug fix) might be a fairly significant one.

You can do a search on Google for GoPro App APK.  You will want either version 4.6.1 or 5.0.1  

You will also have to search for instructions on how to install the APK as it's slightly different with each phone model and there's certain options you have to change on your phone security settings.  You will also want to make sure you are getting the APK from a trustworthy site.

I took my GoPro Fusion and LG v30 out today and didn't have any issues. My camera is in the latest Beta update and the app is the current 5.1.1
