Fusion Not Connecting

My Fusion isn't being detected on my Macbook Pro.

If I launch the Fusion app it just won't connect and and if I look at my system info the camera isn't listed under USB devices.

I read another thread that suggested that you have to use the cable that came with the Fusion and not just a regukat USB-C cable.

Can anybody verify?

Cheers.

Phil

Re: Fusion Not Connecting

I just updated fusion Studio and it seems to be working great now.

No need to remove my SD cards.

Re: Fusion Not Connecting

Make sure the USB-c end is oriented the proper way. I plugged it in backwards and had the same issue.

Re: Fusion Not Connecting

Sorry to hear about that @philspitler.

So is your Macbook Pro up-to-date on the latest macOS? And GoPro App's?

@chrisediting

I'm using the latest version of Fusion Studio and OSX 10.12.6

Can you confirm that I am ok to use any standard USB-C cable.

Thanks

Re: Fusion Not Connecting

personally i only the USB-C lead to charge Fusion, when it comes to transferring the files I always take the cards out & manually put them onto the computer

Re: Fusion Not Connecting

@philspitler So Apple has macOS 12.13 now High Sierra made for VR content and software. And GoPro Fusion app is up-to-Date. Also as said buy @duanem8 I would recommend the same to plug the SD card directly making the speeds faster and easier.

Re: Fusion Not Connecting

This sucks to be honest. Having to take 2 memory cards out and transfer them separately just isn't efficient at all.

Can someone answer my question about the cable. Can I use any USB-C cable or does it need to be the one that came with my Fusion?

Thanks.
Phil
