Front lcd show this icon. What's that suspposed mean? [ New ]

Hi, I just bought this gopro hero 5 black a few days ago. When I try to turn it on several times the touch screen will turn off. the front screen screen shows this icon as in the picture below. Can anyone help me? I'm new to this gopro world. Thanks.

Hello, @namron1980. The icon shown indicates that your camera is on the Preferences or menu settings. 

Try exiting out of settings by pressing the Mode (side) button. The display on the front screen will change depending on which mode your camera is in, or the activity that it is doing.
