Front Lens Moisture on GoPro Hero 8 Camera

[ New ]

I used my Go Pro Hero 8 camera under water to take a video/snapshot. Later, I noticed that there was water in the front lens. When the camera was all dry, moisture started to cover the front lens. Why did this happen? Isn't the GoPro Hero 8 waterproof? What should I do to fix this and prevent it in the furute?

Hello @iambene21

Please ensure that the camera is in a dry, clean area and remove the battery. Remove/Leave the battery door open to allow air to circulate through the camera.

If possible, allow the unit to dry in an air conditioned and/or low humidity environment (<50% humidity) until signs of fogging have dissipated.
