File names

Hello!

I bought GoPro Hero 6 black, i started to film my videos and i have a question.

How GoPro camera is naming files?

GH010160.mp4

GH010161.mp4

GH010167.mp4

GH030176.mp4

are the filenames created randomly? Or is there some logical reason why camera creates filenames? Is there time and date stamps, coded in filenames?

Re: File names

The file names are sequential and do have meta data with time/date info embedded. The file listed as GH030176 appears to be part of a chaptered video

I believe the 3 (GH03...) represents that it is the third file of one continuous video recording. I couldn't find an article on the Hero6 naming convention, but I did find this for the previous models. https://gopro.com/help/articles/question_answer/GoPro-Camera-File-Naming-Convention
