@francoisp634, so long as all camera doors are closed, the HERO7 Silver is waterproof down to 10m (33ft) without a housing. However, looking at the attached photo, the minor crack on the lens cover might cause issues with the camera's waterproofing capability. Did your camera run into an impact, causing the crack on the lens cover?

Alternatively, you may use the Protective Housing for HERO7 Silver/White.

All hero 5 and up are stated waterproof, the option is use it with a Plus program, and a case for added protection, otherwise we all take the chances of water entering due to. User  not colsing to  defects not seen  good luck.  ifafraind return get a new one .
