Error message with SD card Hero 6 Black

I recently bought a new GoPro Hero 6 Black with a SanDisk Extreme 64GB (Speed Class 30) memory card from a very reputable dealer (B&H Photo in NYC). I excitedly took it on a once-in-a lifetime vacation with family to Belize and took some fantastic videos and stills of my nieces and nephews swimming/snorkeling/etc. On the last day, I got an SD error message, and my display has gone back to 00. Anybody know of any way to salvage all my precious memories (I use a Mac)? Hoping for a miracle. Could not be more disappointed in this product so far!

Re: Error message with SD card Hero 6 Black

Hi @twigswalker,

I am very sorry to hear that you have lost that media. It could be that the SD Card is corrupt. I would recommend getting in touch with SanDisk directly as they may have some recovery options for you. Make sure not to format that card as it will erase any media on that card. https://kb.sandisk.com/

Best,

Ryan
