Editing With Clips From Multiple Hero9 cameras

[ New ]

Will be editing a multi-camera shoot with multiple Hero9 cameras.

Workflow in the field will be to copy all files to Gnarbox 2.0 and then move to the RAID for editing.

Since the default file naming convention cannot be changed to give each camera a unique name for cataloging shots as well as potential duplicate file names, could anyone suggest a workflow?

You can install the GoPro Labs firmware and you can adjust the file names somewhat.  Please note that if you do this there are two things to keep in mind.

1:  The Files may not be recognized by the GoPro app, probably not an issue as it sounds like you'll be editing professionally and not via the app.

2:  The Labs Firmware is based on a previous firmware update, so with high frame rates there may be a divisible line seen.  It's also a bit unstable, so you may want to test fully before putting it into use in the field.
