Re: Close up photo - best setting for greatest depth of field
[ New ]hi,
no.
consider the gopro lens as
- fixed aperture f / 2.8
- lens with digital zoom that will give you the equivalent on 35mm
- wide 16-34mm
- linear 19-39mm
- narrow 27mm
- fixed focus somewhere over the hyperfocal
so, everything from 20cm --- infinite will be in focus
you will not be able to obtain the bokeh.
being an action camera, this is the goal... to have everything in focus as much as DOF can be.
hope this helps,
robert

[ New ]Hi @slackhouse,
You can't change DoF in GoPro since you can't replace the lens.
What camera are you using by the way?

[ New ]Hi Jay - Hero 8.
Used to have a Hero 5 which took great close ups.
Changing the lense -wide, linear or narrow does this alter the depth of field like a f stop?

Re: Close up photo - best setting for greatest depth of field
[ New ]@slackhouse, as far as I know, GoPro cameras have a fixed-aperture lens that’s rated at ƒ/2.8 regardless of the Digital Lens (FOV) selected.
