Cannot edit and Save video on Android App.

I am using GoPro5 Black. With the android GoPro app I can connect to the camera, control it and view videos.

However, when I trim a video and try to Save to App it does not work. It either is stuck at 0% or says "There was a problem preparing your video".

If use the Share button the entire video is saved to app without a problem.

Otherwise the camera functions well.

What I have tried so far:

- Reisntalling the androif app.

- Clearing it's cache

- Removing the camera wifi network and re-pairing the app with the camera.

- I manually re-updated the firmware as per GoPro instuctions to see if it would make any doifference, it does not.

- The card is almost empty and I reformatted it too.

I am using one of the supported cards (SanDisk Extreme Pro SDXC UHS-I U3 A2 V30 128GB).

Everything works with the desktop software and usb, I can import, edit, add stickers.

Anything else I can try?

Hi @coolalp771

I have tested trimming videos on a Samsung S8 and and a Huawei P9 and did not get the error.

What phone are you using?

To help isolate the issue, please try doing this on a different phone.

See if the same happens.

Thanks!

Re: Cannot edit and Save video on Android App.

I am using Samsung Galaxy X Cover 4.
- Tried on another Galaxy X Cover 4, same issue
- It works on a Google Nexus 5.

Re: Cannot edit and Save video on Android App.

Thanks for getting back to us @coolalp771

This can possibly a compatibility issue.

Is it just the first time you are getting this error or has this worked before?

I'll also have this shared to the team.

Ej

No, it has never worked on my X Cover.

Would be great to have it resolved, thanks!
