Can't charge GoPro Fusion? LED not lighting up when plugged in?

I just got my new GoPro Fusion and I plugged it in for the first time and the LED flashed briefly then turned off. Now when I plug it into my computer no LED turns on at all.

1. Is it charging?
2. Is there something wrong?
3. The battery is probably dead since I just bought it. The unit will not light up when unplugged either

Please help so I can starting playing around with it!

Your computer USB port might not be providing enough power. Do you have a mobile device wall charger? If so, please try it.

Also, if your computer is a laptop, make sure it's plugged in to a wall outlet when trying to charge the Fusion. On some computers there will be several USB ports but only one or two designated as power share ports. Be sure to try all of them.

Usually, when you plug your camera into a power source, the charge light will briefly turn on and then off. If you give it a minute, it will usually come back on and the charging starts.

i must admit, with my Fusion i don't get the red light come on when i first plug the USB-c lead in. I then have to turn Fusion on, then back off & the red comes on to say its charging (the screen does show its on external power when on)

I tried charging it directly with a wall plug and it did do what you said. The red light eventually came on and then it went black. I left it charging overnight and the camera still does not turn on. The small screen looks like it turned on and a brighter grey color but no screen graphics. I’m wondering if the unit is bad. Very confused. I want to try this camera out and can’t even getting turning on yet....

I decided to return the item. I think it was defective. I purchased a new one and works perfectly!
