Hi @megatree227

 

The BUSY message normally has to do with scanning the SD card and it can happen if there is an error there. But it can also be caused by the camera freezing up. In this case you'll want to remove your SD card, reformat it in the computer, and run a manual update. In the process of the update you'll load the UPDATE folder onto the SD card. Once that's done, you'll eject the card, put it in the camera, and turn the camera on. Then the camera should update. 

 

See if that works, and you may also want to try using a different SD card from the recommended list, though if the camera still shows BUSY without the SD card then I'd say it's most likely an issue with the camera requiring either the update or looking into the warranty of the unit.
