Re: Camera hot
[ New ]When you are "using" your camera, it's usually subjected to good airflow and this helps with cooling and heat disappation.
When you offload footage, the camera is actually working twice as hard and usually kept still in an environment without good airflow so it's going to get warmer.
When offloading not only is your camera still "Active" and ready to shoot (so EIS, WiFi, GPS, Sensor all have power going to them) but it's also ready to preview media AND it's transferring footage from it's SD card. This is going to make your camera get much warmer.

Re: Camera hot
[ New ]Hi @linkermd,
How hot is it?
Is it very hot that you won't be able to touch the camera?
How long is it connected to your iPad?
Is your screen always on?
How was the room temperature?
If you really think that the camera is really hot and it is hard to touch please contact GoPro customer support for assistance.
