Brand new gopro hero 7 black pictures and video's are occasionally damaged

[ New ]

I've tried my brand new gopro Hero7 black for 2 months and only made a couple of video's. Last week a few video's and images were damaged as you can see in the attachments.

Does anyone maybe know what the problem is? I don't want to send the gopro back because I think they can't find the problem i am dealing with.

The weird thing is that the computer shows the thumbnails of the pictures in good condition, but when i open them they are bad.

Thanks for getting back to us @luuk090

The recommended Samsung 16gb SD card is the Samsung Pro UHS-I 16GB.

It is possible that the SD card can't keep up with the camera.

If you have access to another SD card, please test it out to see if it had made a difference.

Here are the recommended SD cards.

Let us know how it goes

Ej

Hi @luuk090

What SD card are you using?

Do you have the latest version installed on the camera?

Where do you usually view the files? Computer or your phone via the GoPro App?

See if formatting the SD card and resetting the camera will help.

If not, try to re-flash the software.

Thanks!

Hi Ej,

Thanks for you quick answer.

What SD card are you using?

I'm using a Samsung micro SDHC 16 GB  with speed class 6, maybe that is too slow?

Do you have the latest version installed on the camera?

Yes

Where do you usually view the files? Computer or your phone via the GoPro App?

I usually view the files on my phone, via the GoPro app.

Maybe the SD-card is the problem?
