ON HOLD FOR ANOTHER 90 COMBINED MINUTES TODAY. HAS ANYONE ACTUALLY SPOKEN TO ANYONE AT GOPRO? I DONT UNDERSTAND? ARE THEY GOING OUT OF BUSINESS AND DECIDED TO FIRE EVEYONE A WEEK AGO?

Here's another unimpressed customer... The Hero5 is my first GoPro product and I've had it for about 10 hours. Other than lighting up, the LCD screen is blank and the attempted updates are unsuccessful. I've tried everything. After purchasing many extra items that go along with the camera, for something to be so expensive, this is unacceptable.

I tried the manual update twice, and it didn't fix the problem.
@Anonymous - If you haven't already, please try to upload the new firmware for the camera - https://gopro.com/update/hero5. Other customers who are reporting this issue are finding that if they upgrade to the latest firmware, the issue gets resolved for them.

I got myself the same problem with a Brand new GOPRO purchased at CAMPO BASE, Via Sforza Pallavicini a Roma. True rip off ! The store doesn't car and refuses to take the GOPRO back and send it to After Sales. They just tell me to see directly with GOPRO. GOPRO of you read me you should,really eliminate that CAMPO BASE from your retailers list. It's absolutely scandalous. I'm myself CEO of a very important Italian Company and will tell everyone about CAMPO BASE.
Now it doesn't solve my problem. I've received very good online support from Vasco from GOPRO and updated the MicroSD but with no success. The screen won't just turn on making my GOPRO hardly usable. Very frustrating, what should I do next ?

So I have tried to do the upgrade, I have tried the battery and I have contacted Go Pro over 17 times and I have recieved nothing back. I got this for my christmas gift and used it twice. I just want it fixed! I dont understand how you want me to do that update when I cant even see my screen. I tried adding my camera with the serial number but that did not work. I am beyond fustrated with this product and the customer service. I just wanted a resolution.
