Bought a GoPro Hero 4 Black and I can't get a good quality [ New ]

Hello eveone, i've bought a Hero 4 months ago but only three days ago decided to put it to use, however i've found that the quality was not in terms of what i've expected, my cellphone (a Moto G3) got a better quality, at the night it gets really grainy/noisy which worsens the overall quality, tried to do in 1080 with 24 and 60fps, 4k also doesn't bring any change.

Today I've bought a Class 10 MicroSD Sandisk Ultra, but still no changes, bear in mind that in the box it says that I should buy either a class 10 or UHS-1

Hi @vicentes172, 

The reason why it's blurry is because auto low light reduces the FPS. 

Meaning there are less frames on your video. 

Try to use manual settings or protune. 

With that you'll be able to gain full control on your camera such as exposure, ISO, Shutter Speed, and White Balance. 

Also try to use high frame rate such as 60 FPS. 

Consider getting a fast SD card as well.

You are using SanDisk Ultra. Try the other model. The Extreme or Extreme Pro.

SanDisk ULTRA is not a recommended SD card. 

But you may contact GoPro Customer Support so that they can check that for you personally.

Hello @jayr3438, the box indicates that a Class 10 is a recommended, but didn't see any difference compared to the Class 4, I've been looking around for answers and it seems that the GoPro is not indicated for indoor filming, especially in low light times which becomes very grainy.

While I do know that GoPro is obviously focused as an adventure camera, i've bought it for a good price and tought that it could be used as a phone camera replacemente with options of better quality, am I doing something wrong for the setup?

What is the exact settings that you're using? 

Please check if your ISO is not more that 1600. 

Higher ISO creates more noise or grain.

I'm using the 400-800 ISO range, auto low light for 1080p, normal lens setup, high sharpness and +1.0 EV.

However, I still don't like the quality that much, it looks even blurry when I pause the video.

Bear in mind that i'm using in my home, plus the object becomes blurry when very closed even in places with light, unlike my Moto G3.
