Black screen on hero 5 black after trying to solve another problem
[ New ]Hello, hope all is well, my go pro hero 5 black's screen is lighted up but remains black. So, I can still press the record button but the interactive screen stays black. This happened right after following the instructions that were given by your website on how to solve the problem connection problem to the Quik desktop app. Link: https://gopro.com/help/articles/solutions_troubleshooting/Camera-is-Not-Recognized-on-Quik-for-deskt...
In the Method 2 section step number 2 said “Remove the microSD card and battery (if applicable) for a few moments before reconnecting the camera to the computer.” So that’s what I did, a pond restarting the device the screen was then black. Refer to the picture that is included in the message.
Best regrads,
-Rodrick Rock

Re: Black screen on hero 5 black after trying to solve another problem
[ New ]@rodrickr1141 - First thing to try is to make sure that your camera's firmware is updated and that it installed fully. The best way to do that is to do a manual update on the camera. Instructions on how to do that are at https://gopro.com/en/us/update/hero5.
If that doesn't correct this issue, please reach out to our Support team at https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs. There could be a fault in your display, and they can help troubleshoot that with you. Thanks.
