While EIS is a nice feature, it doesn't come close to the smooth stabilization you get with the Karma Grip.

Although i did have some problems with the Karma grip with the Hero 5 after the update of the Hero 5 (v2.0) and a update of the grip (v1.5) that failed, there's a topic about these problems.
But i got a new one and until today everythings works fantastic.
It's smooth and stabile, no noise of the motors in any footage i watch back. Regardless the problemms i had i still find this the best gimball for the GoPro Hero 5.

From my research none of the non-go pro gimbals work with the Hero 5 without noise issues with the exception of the Evo when you back down to firmware 1.50.
I've seen some folks even say that didn't cure the noise issue, plus reports that 1.50 firmware wasn't super stable in terms of camera usage.
Michel - are you saying zero noise issues with latest firmwares with Hero 5 and Karma grip? I've seen people say there's still a problem with noise, though hard to know which versions they're on.

In normal use the sound was so faint I couldn't pick it up. I haven't run the test since, but in the many months of use since, I haven't once noticed the gimbal motor noise in any of my videos.
When I get a chance I'll duplicate the test. The fact that I'll have to create an environment with virtually zero environmental noise and bathroom acoustics to test it should give you an idea of how quiet it is.
