Extract from the manual :
VIDEO FORMATSets the regional frame rates that your camera uses for recording andplaying back video on a TV/HDTV. Selecting the appropriate option for yourregion helps prevent flicker when capturing video indoors.SettingDescriptionNTSCSelect this option to play back yourvideo on an NTSC TV (most televisionsin North America)PALSelect this option to play back your videoon a PAL TV (most televisions outside ofNorth America)
I just realised that too while I was looking at the Preferences last night. I live in South East Asia and PAL is the standard choice. Thanks for the replies guys!

if you are outside, using NTSC will give you higher frame rates 30/60 vs PAL 25/50, but remember if you live in a "PAL" country and film insdie with florencent lighting, you can get flicker if you have set it to NTSC....

Hello,
I have a small question. We will make a trip to Barcelona in the next month and we wanna do a short movie about our trip. Just normal stuff like walking through the city or at the beach. Some timelapse shoots and stuff like that.
What settings would you recommend?
And is it better to film with 30/60fps and turn the fps to 24 in final cut pro or is it better to film directly with 24fps for a movie look?
And I'm sorry for my bad English.
Greetings,
Sebastian
